Limau Manis mosque receives donation

SEVERAL items were donated to Masjid Kampung Limau Manis during a tadarus event organised for the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and its departments yesterday.

The items consisted of an air conditioner, a water jet, two heavy duty vacuums, three LED emergency lights, a desktop computer, a printer, stairs and a closet.

Presenting the items was Dato Paduka Hj Hamdan Hj Abu Bakar, Permanent Secretary at the PMO to the mosque’s officer in-charge Imam Hj Md Jani @ Abdul Jabar Hj Abdul Majid.

The imam expressed his gratitude for the donations and said that the items will be used wisely.

The religious event then commenced with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Imam Hj Md Jani @ Abdul Jabar. This was then followed by a mass Tadarus Al-Quran, Tahlil and Doa Selamat.

Congregants also broke their fast together and concluded the event by performing a mass Maghrib prayer at the mosque.

Also present were the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) Commissioner Dato Paduka Seri Bahrin Mohd Noor, directors, assistant directors, government officers and staff as well as residents of Kg Limau Manis.

The event is part of a Mentakmir Masjid Programme jointly organised by the Information Department, the Attorney General’s Chambers, the Internal Security Department (KDN) and the Kampung Limau Manis Masjid Committee.
