More donations for Nepal

BRUNEI has raised over $166,000 for Nepal earthquake victims, with the Gurkha Reserve Unit contributing $2,667 in a handover ceremony yesterday.
The Humanitarian Fund for Nepal’s Earthquake Victims has collected $166,585.53 since it started on April 30.
Lt Col Rani Hj Bujang, Gurkha Reserve Unit commandant, handed over the donations to Acting Director of Community Development Department Hjh Noridah Abd Hamid at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The charity fund will remain open for three months until July 31. Members of the public can contribute via donation boxes set up at mosques, schools, as well as commercial and government buildings.
