Home Affairs pays respects to HM’s late parents

MORE than 250 officials and staffs from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) and its departments yesterday paid respect to His Majesty’s late parents, Al-Marhum Sultan Hj Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien and Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit, by offering tahlil and Surah Yassin prayers at the Royal Mausoleum in Jalan Tutong.
The congregants were led by the Minister of Home Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awg Badaruddin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Awg Othman.
Also present during the event was the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Hj Halbi Hj Md Yussof, permanent secretaries, deputy permanent secretaries, heads of departments and senior officers from the ministry as well as mukim and village heads.
The ceremony started with the recital of Surah Al-Fatihah as well as Surah Yassin led by the officer from the Mosque Affairs Department, Mohd Amin Hj Salim.
The ministry has engaged in various religious activities throughout the fasting month, gathering all its personnel from various departments.
