TWENTY-ONE officers of the Civil Service Institute (IPA) and the Management Services Department (MSD) on Wednesday received certificates, following the completion of a two-day Essential Consultancy Skills Course at the IPA in Rimba.

The workshop saw participants gain an understanding on the nature of consultation, as well as the skills, techniques and knowledge required to assist in improving their clients’ organisations.

Besides equipping the participants with professional consultancy capabilities, the programme also hoped to assist and prepare them in undertaking a professional consulting qualification programme under the United Kingdom’s Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

In a press statement, Programme Coordinator Aqmal Khalilah Hj Md Said shared that the course provided in-depth knowledge on consultancy skills.

She said that the facilitator was able to incorporate role play and case studies to enhance participants’ understanding.

Meanwhile, MSD Management Services Officer Mohammad Hafiizh Hj Osman found the programme to be relevant to his job.

He said he was able to gain significant knowledge on consultancy, along with its do’s and don’ts.

He added he also gained understanding on clients’ expectations.
