WWII exhibition now open

THE Stories through Memories: 70 Years of Friendship exhibition at the Art Gallery, Royal Wharf in the capital is now open.
The Australian High Commission in Brunei Darussalam announced yesterday that the exhibition will be open to public until June 30.
The exhibition to commemorate the 70th Anniversary of the Borneo Campaign features historical photographs of the campaign in 1945 drawn from the Australian War Memorial’s archives.
The exhibition also showcases first-hand accounts of Bruneians who lived through World War II.
The exhibition opens from 9am until 5pm on Saturday to Thursday, while on Fridays; the exhibition will be open from 9am until 11pm and continues after Friday prayers from 2.30pm until 5pm.
The exhibition will also be open during Ramadhan from 9am until 3pm on Saturday until Thursday while opening hours on Friday will only continue until 12pm.
The Australian High Commission, in a statement issued yesterday, advised schools, businesses and organisations interested in having special and guided tour views to contact the Australian High Commission by emailing austhicom.brunei@dfat.gov.au or 2229435.
