THE Survey Department under the Ministry of Development (MoD) yesterday held its annual Quality Control Circle (QCC) convention at the ministry’s Training Centre.

During the convention, six QCC teams from different sections under the department presented their projects on tackling issues for their respective sections.

The Geodetic Section under the department was selected as champions after they presented their project on identifying the cause of why the Geodetic stations in the Temburong District is not updated. Acting Surveyor General Hj Ali Bakar Hj Kasim said that the QCC is important to have in all departments as it will assist the department to tackle issues.

Hj Ali Bakar explained that every section under the department has their own QCC members to produce efficient and quality work to tackle issues and ensure that the products and services are well provided. “The QCC members must continue to identify issues, analyse them and create procedures and solutions because these issues can be reduced and will help to develop the department,” he said.
