APPLICATIONS are now open for the Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship Programme.

In a press statement released by the Japan Embassy in Brunei yesterday, there are four scholarship categories: Research Students, Undergraduate Students, Specialised Training College Students and College of Technology Students.

The statement said applicants must be Brunei citizens with excellent academic results.

Prospective students were urged to seize the opportunity to reside and study in Japan to enhance their academic qualifications and strengthen their understanding of the people, culture and language of Japan.

Application forms must be submitted before the deadline on June 26.
