PARTICIPANTS signed up for the Run For Nepal on June 12 can make registration payment from 8 to 10 June at Armtrix Enterprise at the Warisan Mata-Mata Complex.

The $25 registration fee can be paid from 9am to 1pm and 2pm to 5.30pm on all three days.

Taking place between 8.15 to 10.15pm, the run will cover a distance of five kilometres at the Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium to raise funds for the National Humanitarian Fund for Nepal as well as air freight charges required to send relief supplies collected by the Gurkha Palace Restaurant under Seri Belalong Sdn Bhd.

Upon making payment, all runners will be given a donation card for those willing to further support fundraising efforts. Participants will also be given a ‘Run for Nepal’ t-shirt and wristband, in addition to a running light which can be worn over a finger.

According to the run's organiser and Founder of Heroes Event Management Aaron Goh, 1,000 have already registered online at www.heroes.com.bn/RunForNepal. Kristal FM have also joined in support of the event, playing 30-second clips beginning yesterday to promote the run. “The public, private sector and government have all come together in support for this event, which has gotten excellent feedback despite being organised in such a short time frame,” said Aaron.

“The charity run will be simple, yet significant as the public of Brunei unites in support of Nepal and the victims of the earthquake.”

The night run is limited to 1,500 participants, with registration closing on June 7.

Additional inquires on the run can be directed to weareheroesbrunei@gmail.com. The National Humanitarian Fund for Nepal which has collected almost $50,000 as of last week, will continue to be open until July 31.
