KUPU SB students urged to join more educational programmes, activities

MORE Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College (KUPU SB) students are urged to actively participate in programmes organised by religious educational institutions.

This will prove to be beneficial for them both in learning and life, said Ustaz Hj Mohd Azmi Hj Omar, supervisor of KUPU SB’s Ukhuwah Islamiyyah Camping Programme.

Participants completed their three day programme yesterday with a certificate presentation ceremony at the Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Mosque in Sungai Akar.

Dean of the Faculty of Usuluddin in KUPU SB, Professor Madya Dr Ariffin Omar presented the participants with their certificates.

Participants comprised KUPU SB’s first and second year Usuluddin students. The camping programme began on Friday (May 29).

Themed “Ukhuwah Menjana Konsep Al-Ta’awun Ala albirri wa al-taqwa”, the programme focused on the cooperation to further righteousness.

It also aimed at strengthening ties among Muslim youths and villagers.

They were also joined by 15 volunteers as well as members of students’ council from KUPU SB.

Throughout the programme, participants took part in several activities such as Khatam Al-Quran, where the students completed reciting the 30 Juzuk of the Al-Quran, solat clinic for Muslimah as well as performing community service which included cleaning the mosque.
