THE Minister of Communications, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Hamzah Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Hj Abdullah Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Hj Bakar left for Singapore to attend the Opening Ceremony of the Infocomm Media Business Exchange (imbX) 2015 and the Ministerial Forum on ICT 2015.

With this year’s theme “Building a Smart Nation,” the forum that starts tomorrow will enable the Minister to witness the Opening Ceremony of imbX 2015 and tour the exhibitions, including a tour of the Brunei Darussalam Pavilion, organised by the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI) which will showcase the latest technologies and a sneak preview of the latest ICT trends in Brunei Darussalam.

According the ministry in a statement yesterday, the two-day forum consists three main sessions to further discuss the conditions necessary for a Smart Nation, the role of government and how the increasing use of big data can address complex urban challenges, and a “High Level Dialogue on Smart Nation” among Ministers and industry partners.

Accompanying the Minister to the Opening Ceremony of imbX 2015 and the Ministerial Forum on ICT 2015 are senior ministry officers and the Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry of Brunei Darussalam (AITI).
