Fourth edition of Muslimah magazine launched

THE female congregants of a mosque in Kg Katimahar recently launched the fourth edition of their magazine in a bid to strengthen their sisterhood.
Titled ‘Majalah Muslimah’, the magazine published by the Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque showcased the numerous activities, classes, workshops and competitions involving the female congregants residing in the area.
“Lately, the involvement of female congregants are advancing much more compared to previous years,” said Hjh Adijah Hj Taha, the chairperson of the mosque’s Muslimah Section.
In her speech at the launching ceremony last Friday, Hjh Adijah pointed out that cooperation and camaraderie among the female congregants have increased through participation in various events and activities organised by mosque authorities.
The chairperson added the events and activities also reflected the commitment of the Paduka Seri Begawan Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin Mosque in uniting the female congregants.
Describing the publication of the ‘Majalah Muslimah’ as a success, Hjh Adijah expressed hopes that the magazine would inspire other mosques to boost their efforts to strengthen the sisterhood among their female congregants.
Present as the guest of honour at the mosque was Pg Alizah Pg Hj Tahir, acting senior religious officer and head of Muslimah Section at the Mosque Affairs Department.
