Benefit from Isra’ Mikraj life lessons

THE Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) and its departments held the annual Isra’ Mikraj celebration yesterday at the ministry’s building.

Present to give his welcoming remarks was Auditor General Hj Matali Hj Md Yusof.

Hj Matali stressed on the importance of holding the event every year.

In his speech Hj Matali said that it was hoped that participants, comprising heads of departments, senior officers and other civil servants from the PMO, would benefit from the teachings taken from the events which occurred during the life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

He said such events should continue to be held annually for the sake of future generations.

The auditor general said the civil servants should follow the prophet’s example in living their everyday lives.

He also hoped the event would open the minds of the participants so that they can be more innovative and creative in their work.

Hj Matali’s speech was preceded by a recitation of a Quranic verse which was conducted by Imam Md Afdzillah Hj Md Yussof.

A guest speaker from Pusat Pengajian Islam Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Universiti (UNISSA) Brunei Darussalam, Ustaz Hj Mohd Khairul Nazif Hj Damit, was invited to deliver a religious lecture to the audience, entitled ‘Solat Terapi Kehidupan’.

Also present as the guest of honour was the Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, Dato Paduka Hj Abdul Wahab Juned.
