THE late Datin Setia Dayang Hjh Norsinah Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Hj Mohd Yussof was laid to rest yesterday at the Tanah Perkuburan Islam Ranggas Besar in the capital.

A former loyal employee of the Royal Family , the late Datin Setia Dayang Hjh Norsinah passed away on Monday, May 11 at the age of 80. She is survived by her six children among which is Yang Berhormat Haji Awang Ahmad Morshidi Bin Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Haji Awang Abdul Rahman, a member of The Brunei Times Board of Directors, 27 grandchildren and more than 13 great grandchildren.

The funeral prayers, held at the residence of a family member of the deceased at Kg Jangsak, was led by the State Mufti Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia (Dr) Ustaz Hj Abdul Aziz Juned.

Among those who paid their last respects were former and current ministers to the Sultanate.

The late Datin Setia Dayang Hjh Norsinah was conferred the title for her services to the royal family during the time of Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien.
