Jobs up for grabs at Sentral’s fair
BELAIT
SENTRAL Shopping Centre in Belait will be hosting a Job Fair on May 18- 20 involving at least 12 companies.
Chan Leang Seng, Sentral's event manager, told The Brunei Times yesterday that a number of the companies, many of which have Belait branches, have already confirmed their participation.
“Some of Brunei's biggest franchises, including Burger King and PAR Food and Beverages Sdn. Bhd, which runs Coffee Bean &Tea Leaf, are expected to set up booths,” said Chan.
Burger King's Operations Manager Sailfulizam Zamhor said the company was looking for full-time and part-time staff to help out in their recent expansion, which included new branches at Citis Square and Kuala Belait.
“We are looking for more local staff, with or without previous work experience, to come work for us as we typically have many younger staff who have left to continue their studies,” said Sailfulizam.
He added that the fast food outlet's recruiting for the fair was not limited to filling vacancies for the Kuala Belait branch.
“We are not just looking for new employees for Belait but for our other three branches as well. Training is not an issue, as the company will offer the necessary training for those willing to join,” he said.
Applicants are required to bring their resume and copies of their Identity Card to the fair, which will run from 10am to 9pm at Sentral's atrium on the ground floor.
Chan said Sentral is still looking to house a few more companies for the fair. Those interested in having a booth can contact 3339889 or kbsentralmarketing@gmail.com.
