FOUR Prisons Department officers left the Sultanate yesterday to take part in the Juvenile Rehabilitation Programme under the Malaysian Technical Cooperation Programme (MTCP) in Langkawi, Malaysia.

In a press statement, the Prisons Department said that the officers will gather with other ASEAN and Asia prison department officers in Langkawi to expose themselves to the courses offered by the Juvenile Rehabilitation Programme in the context of Malaysian prisons and their practice methods.

“Throughout the programme, the participants will have the opportunity to visit some of the prisons in Malaysia, including the male, female and juvenile prisons,” the statement said.
