THE Sixth ‘Semangat Waja’ Exercise for the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) came to a close with a parade held at the First Battalion Parade Square in Berakas Garrison.

The Ministry of Defence stated that the parade was made up of the First Battalion RBLF, Second Battalion RBLF, Third Battalion RBLF, Land Force Support Battalion and the Combat Support Service of the RBLF.

Present as the guest of honour was the Commander of the RBLF, Brigadier General Pg Dato Paduka Aminan Pg Hj Mahmud.

The ceremony began with an inspection by the RBLF Commander which was then followed by the removing of armbands.

The parade was commanded by Major Pg Mohd Sufri Pg Hj Rosli.

The completed Sixth ‘Semangat Waja’ Exercise was the largest exercise conducted by the RBLF that involved bilateral military cooperation between the Singapore Armed Forces and the RBLF through Maju Bersama Exercise and Rintis Bersama Exercise.

The Parang Kukri Exercise involved the cooperation of the bilateral military of the Royal Gurkha Rifles and RBLF.

Both exercises took place simultaneously under the Sixth Semangat Waja Exercise.

The exercise ran from April 14 to 26 with an objective to boost the preparedness of the RBLF.
