RBPF, Neighbourhood Watch conduct patrols in Belait, Brunei-Muara

THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) recently held crime prevention operations in Belait and Brunei-Muara with the Neighbourhood Watches of Labi and Rimba.

Five police personnel from the Labi Police Station and five from the Neighbourhood Watches of Kg Labi 1 and 2 began patrolling Mukim Labi in Belait at 9pm Monday, starting from Kg Rampayoh until Kg Teraja.

Acting Commanding Officer of Labi Police Station Sergeant Mohd Zulkifli Abdullah led the operation, which found no offences, that ended at 12.30am.

Meanwhile in Brunei-Muara, 15 residents from Kg Rimba National Housing Scheme Area 2 led by their Village Head Mohd Hj Kabon teamed up on Tuesday night with police from the Berakas Police Station and the Community Policing Unit to conduct a foot patrol around Rimba.

Acting Assistant Officer in Charge of Station P/ASP Pg Hj Md Saiful Ariff led the operation, which began at 8.30pm, covering Jalan 39, 35, 50 and 42, and later Jalan 99, 60, 24 and 26, with the assistance of a police bus.

The operations were held to mitigate break-ins and thefts.

RBPF advises community members interested in learning more or joining the Neighbourhood Watch to approach their respective village heads.
