Police conduct neighbourhood watch patrols in Belait

THE Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) conducted two neighbourhood watch operations in Belait on Saturday night, but no offences were found.

The first operation began at 9pm with a foot and car patrol around the STKRJ Lorong 3 area led by Commanding Officer of Seria Police Station ASP Mohd Zulhilmi Azmi Dato Paduka Hj Abd Aziz.

Five members of the neighbourhood watch, including Village head of Kg Lorong 3 Hj Saidin Hj Ibrahim participated in the operation, which ended at 11pm.

The second operation in Mumong picked up at where the first operation left off at 11pm, with a total of 16 police personnel and neighbourhood watch members also conducting foot and vehicle patrols.

Assistant Commanding Officer of the Kuala Belait Police Station Inspector Nasri Hj Razali conducted the operation that ended at 1.30am.

Both operations were held to mitigate crime, especially thefts and house break-ins.
