Girl scouts briefed on self-care and dress code

THE Brunei Darussalam Scouts Association (BDSA) through the Girls Scout Section held a religious briefing for female scout members yesterday at the BDSA’s headquarters in Beribi.

Scout Commissioner of the Girls Scout Section Hjh Nor Rahmat Sidin said that the objective of the briefing was to provide an understanding to female scout members of the importance of self-care and dress code particularly in the teachings of Islam through the practice of the Malay Muslim Monarchy (MIB).

In addition, the briefing also aims to foster relations between the team leaders and scout members from different schools.

“It also intends to put in practice in their daily lives as well as increase knowledge of the importance of self-care as a woman,” a press release from the BDSA said.

A total of 70 members participated in the religious briefing which included scout leaders, cub scouts, junior scouts, venture scouts and rover scouts.

The briefing was delivered by Ustazah Hjh Noor Hj Mohadi.

Present as the guest of honour was the Scout Chief Commissioner, Hj Awang Badar Hj Awang Ali.
