Masagos here on 2-day working visit

SINGAPORE’S Second Minister for Home Affairs and Foreign Affairs, Masagos Zulkifli, will be making a working visit to Brunei from April 17 to 18.
The minister will be attending the opening ceremony of the “Workshop on the Art of Writing and Conversing in Islamic Literature”.
This Workshop has been specially organised by the Language and Literature Bureau of Brunei (DBP) for religious scholars and teachers from the Malay Language Council of Singapore.
This latest collaboration in the area of Malay Language and Literature is reflective of the longstanding close bilateral cooperation between Singapore and Brunei.
While in the Sultanate, Minister Masagos will have an audience with the His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
Minister Masagos will also have meetings with Brunei’s State Mufti and Minister for Culture, Youth and Sports.
Minister Masagos will also co-launch with the Minister of Industry and Primary Resources a new book, “Rainforest Plants and Flowers of Brunei Darussalam”.
This book is a joint collaboration between the Forestry Department of Brunei Darussalam and the Singapore Botanical Gardens.
