UKM graduates association visits UNISSA

EIGHTEEN members of the Association of Graduate Students from the Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia’s (UKM) Faculty of Islamic Studies are currently in Brunei for an academic visit to Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA).

The delegation is in the Sultanate for a five-day ‘Jejak Warisan Ilmu Islam’ programme to Brunei (JEWARIS)’ from April 11 to 15.

The 18-member delegation comprised three lecturers and 15 post-graduate students.

JEWARIS aims to deepen knowledge on the translation, publication and research of Islam amongst post-graduate students between Brunei and Malaysia.

The highlight of the visit is the ‘Kolokium Antarabangsa Jejak Warisan Ilmu Islam Brunei Darussalam 2015’ (International Colloquium on the trail of Islamic Knowledge Heritage) that will take place today, organised by UNISSA’s Centre for Post Graduate Studies and Research.

A total fo 29 working papers will be presented at the Colloquium which features presentations from lecturers and post-graduate students from both institutions.
