Royal Regalia lights up with religious performances

RELIGOUS performance lit up the car park across the Royal Regalia yesterday night, with nine schools reciting poetry, nasyid, tausyeh and masrahiah arabiah in conjunction with the royal wedding.

Young ones in the crowd were also treated to four question and answer sessions, where prizes were handed out to those able to answer questions about Islam and Brunei.

Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Hj Harun Hj Junid and his spouse were the event’s guests of honour.

Last night’s event, organised by the Islamic Education Department, began with a recital of the Surah Al-Fatihah, followed by a tausyeh performance by the Sungai Akar Arabic School.

Another tausyeh performance by the Sengkurong Religious School, Brunei IV ended the event.
