THE Youth Development Centre (YDC) held a meeting with 25 work placement trainees last Saturday to assess the effectiveness of its programme.

The aim of the meeting was to share experiences and best practices on the training and skills carried out for the duration of the programme.

The trainees were under the YDC’s Info-Communication and Technology programme and are tasked with developing software as part of a competency session.

A facilitator from the Brunei Polytechnic Department was invited to speak during the meeting, and trainees also gave group presentations.

YDC carries our career placement programmes in the hopes of building practical skills for local youth to fill in-demand jobs.
