THE Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources (MIPR) hosted a welcome dinner yesterday for officials of the Communist Party of China’s (CPC) Guanxi Zhuang Autonomous Region's CPC committee at the Royal Polo and Riding Club.

Peng Qinghua Secretary of CPC Guanxi Committee, and his party were treated with Bruneian cultural performances such as Majlis Berbedak (powdering ceremony) and traditional dances and songs.

Chinese Ambassador Yang Jian attended the occasion and officials of the Brunei-China Friendship Association.

YB Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Utama Dato Seri Setia Hj Yahya Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Hj Bakar handed the Secretary with a photograph of him with His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office.
