SEVERAL roads along the Muara-Tutong Highway will be closed to make way for the Berakas Interchange construction works.

In a statement issued by the Roads Department, main traffic flow from the Tutong-Muara highway and vice versa which will be affected by the closure, will be temporarily diverted starting January 3.

The diversions changes in traffic flow will begin after the Jalan Pasir Berakas traffic light junction.

Road users from Bandar Seri Begawan headed towards north of Jalan Pasir Berakas (Berakas Camp), Muara and Tutong are to go through Jalan Industri and head towards Jalan Pasir Berakas.

Those travelling from Muara towards Bandar Seri Begawan are to use the normal slip road towards Jalan Utama Berakas and the new Muara-Tutong highway road towards Jalan Pasir Berakas.

To reach the Lambak Kanan national housing scheme and Bandar Seri Begawan, road users from Tutong can use the Jalan Pasir Berakas road from the Pasir Berakas/Muara-Tutong highway traffic light junction.

From there road users should make use of Jalan Industri and Jalan Utama Berakas towards their destination.

Meanwhile, traffic flow from the Lambak Kanan national housing scheme towards Jalan Pasir Berakas North (Berakas Kem), Tutong and Muara will flow towards Jalan Industri.

Traffic flow from Jalan Pasir Berakas North (Berakas Kem) headed towards Bandar Seri Begawan and the Lambak Kanan national housing scheme will flow towards Jalan Pasir Berakas into Jalan Industri and Jalan Utama Berakas.

The changes will commence on the abovementioned date from 1 pm onwards until all works are completed. The department is also reminding all road users to exercise caution while driving, particularly when using the above mentioned roads and to obey the road signages along the way.
