RBPF families enjoy day of fun
IT was a fun-filled day for over 150 police personnel and staff from Belait and Tutong who gathered for recreational activities near the Panaga Police Station yesterday.
Several booths for food, drinks and games were set up by the police departments under Royal Brunei Police Force Branch 'B'.
Police Commissioner Dato Seri Pahlawan Bahrin Mohd Noor and his deputy, Hj Mohd Jammy Hj Muhd Shah Al-Islam, arrived early in the morning to socialise with personnel and their families.
The main event saw two teams – one representing the police commissioner and the other his deputy– toughing it out in a tug-of-war match that ended in a draw after each side won a round each.
ASP Aimi Safwan of the Panaga Police Station, who was involved in organising the event, said many personnel looked forward to such events and more attempts would be made to host recreational activities in the near future.
“It gives us (RBPF) a chance to socialise and mix outside our office setting and a chance to unwind, with our families getting a chance to know the families of others. Strong bonds are important in keeping the morale of the force high,” he said.
Kids were seen having fun on a bouncer with a slide, with lucky draws enlivening the mood.
