Japanese ambassador calls on Attorney General

THE Attorney General Yang Berhormat Datin Seri Paduka Hjh Hayati POKSDSP Hj Mohd Salleh yesterday received a courtesy call from the Ambassador of Japan to Brunei, Her Excellency Noriko Iki.

During the courtesy call, the Attorney General and Her Excellency Noriko exchanged views on various legal issues, followed by an exchange of gifts.

Also in attendance during the courtesy call were the Solicitor General Naimah Md Ali, Legal Draftsman Alice Khan Ahmad Khan and senior officers of the Attorney General’s Chambers.

Her Excellency Noriko was previously the Director-General at the Tokyo Labour Bureau of Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

The ambassador presented her Letter of Credence to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, on September 13, 2014.
