HRH receives dignitaries

HIS Royal Highness Prince Hj Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office, yesterday received in separate audiences, an outgoing foreign envoy and the newly-appointed Permanent Representative of Brunei Darussalam at the Qashr Al-Meezaan yesterday. A statement from the Prime Minister’s Office said His Royal Highness first received Apichart Phetcharatana, the outgoing Thailand’s Ambassador to the Sultanate. Ambassador Apichart presented his letter of credence to His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on October 23, 2011.

His Royal Highness then received Dato Paduka Hj Awang Mahdi Pehin Orang Kaya Digadong Seri Diraja Dato Laila Utama Hj Awang Abdul Rahman, Brunei’s newly-appointed Permanent Representative to Geneva, Switzerland. He formerly served as the Brunei’s Ambassador to Egypt.

Dato Paduka Hj Awang Mahdi received his letter of credence from His Majesty on November 24, 2014.
