THE Royal Thai Embassy in Brunei Darussalam will hold a reception to celebrate the 87th birthday of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand on December 5.

The reception will be held at the main conference hall of the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Berakas from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

Scheduled to attend as the event’s guest of honour is the Minister of Health Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Johan Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Hj Adanan Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Hj Mohd Yusof, who will be accompanied by his wife Datin Paduka Hjh Salmah Hj Hanafiah, said a statement from the Royal Thai Embassy yesterday. Meanwhile, on December 7 from 6pm to 11pm, Thai nationals working and residing in Brunei are invited to attend a candle-lighting ceremony to pay their respects to His Majesty the King. This will take place at the residence of Thailand’s Ambassador at No 18 Simpang 52-86-16 Kampung Mata-Mata, Gadong.
