HIS Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam sent a congratulatory message to His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the King of Thailand on the occasion of His Majesty’s 87th birthday today.

In the message, His Majesty greatly appreciated the contribution and commitment of His Majesty King Bhumibol in strengthening the close personal ties between the two countries and peoples.

The Sultan wished the Thai King and all members of the Royal Family continued good health and happiness, and the Thai people lasting progress and prosperity.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade also sent his deepest respects and warmest congratulations to His Majesty King Bhumibol and to the people of Thailand.

In his message to Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dato Paduka Seri General Tanasak Patimapragorn, HRH said he looked forward to working closely with him in strengthening their longstanding bilateral relations and both countries’ very important regional and international cooperation.

His Royal Highness also wished Dato General Tanasak success in hosting the Second Asia Cooperation Dialogue Summit next year.

His Royal Highness sent his kindest regards and best wishes to the deputy prime minister and foreign affairs minister for a happy celebration and a prosperous new year.
