A DELEGATION from East Asia Hydrographic Commission (EAHC) is currently in Brunei to foster regional cooperation in hydrographic surveying.

Yesterday, six personnel from EAHC paid a visit to the Survey Department at the Ministry of Development.

Acting Surveyor General, Hj Ali Bakar Hj Kasim expressed his appreciation to the EAHC for their support. He said Brunei benefits from technical capacity building from more developed countries in order to improve the quality of hydrographic or navigational charts.

While in the Sultanate, the EAHC will assess current situation in Brunei regarding hydrographic surveying, nautical charting, and maritime safety information.
