3 to attend SME dev’t seminar in Cambodia

THREE local youth entrepreneurs will be attending the ASEAN-Republic of Korea Seminar on Participation of Youths and Women in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Development in Siem Reap, Cambodia, today.

According to a statement by the Youth and Sports Department (JBS), the youths – Hj Abu Hurairah Hj Zainal, Ikmalina Hakimah Hj Md Yunus and Siti Majeedah Hj Ali Asgar – left the Sultanate yesterday for the two-day seminar.

The seminar aims to provide a platform for youths and women from ASEAN member states and the Republic of Korea to exchange views on challenges and opportunities in the SME sector as an integral part of the economic development of ASEAN and Korea.

The seminar comprises dialogue sessions with each country’s representatives as speakers, while a keynote address will be given during the opening ceremony by Dr Sok Siphana, an advisor to the Royal Government of Cambodia.

There will also be a closing speech from the Director-General of the Ministry of Commerce and ASEAN Senior Economic Officials Meetings Leader of Cambodia, Dr Pich Rithi.
