THE Badan Tanmiah Harta of the Brunei Islamic Religious Council (MUIB) commemorated the 20th anniversary of its establishment last night.

The ceremony saw its members conduct mass religious activities at the mosalla of the Institute Tahfiz Al-Quran Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah including mass Maghrib and Isya prayers.

The congregation also read the Surah Yassin, performed a Tahlil, Doa Khas, and a Sunat Hajat prayer.

Present at the ceremony was the Minister of Religious Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pg Dato Seri Setia Dr Hj Mohammad Pg Hj Abdul Rahman, in his capacity as the president of MUIB.

Also present was the Minister of Home Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Hj Awg Badaruddin Pengarah Dato Paduka Hj Awg Othman, who received a gift as an appreciative token for his contributions to the Badan Tanmiah Harta.

Other former members were also presented tokens of appreciation by YB Pg Dato Dr Hj Mohammad.

The Badan Tanmiah Harta is an investment body that functions by allocating property of the MUIB to develop its properties for the future of the Muslim community in the Sultanate.
