HENGYI Industries Sdn Bhd held a dialogue session with several government agencies and local communities around Mukim Serasa yesterday.

They were given updates on Hengyi’s Refinery project at Pulau Muara Besar and its implications. It was also an opportunity for the Serasa community representatives to voice their concerns, Hengyi said in a statement.

“We want everyone to be appraised of Hengyi’s project development and ongoing activities at Pulau Muara Besar. We are starting some major dredging activities at the Western Channel area of PMB opposite the Muara Ports hence we need to ensure all stakeholders and communities surrounding Mukim Serasa are fully aware of the activities,” Vice President for Corporate Services at Hengyi Industries, Sheikh Rashid Salam was quoted as saying.

The event was held at Hengyi’s Muara site office.
