St Andrew’s lauds high achievers

ACHIEVEMENTS of St Andrew’s School’s (SAS) students and teachers were awarded at SAS’s Prize Giving Day 2014 held at SAS’s Dato Ong Kim Kee Hall yesterday.
An ample array of awards were handed out for achievements made in sports, academic awards from Year 1 to Year 11 students and long servicing teachers
The awards were presented in different orders by Chairman of School Board of Governors Dato Paduka Job Lim, Deputy Chairman Stephen Ong and guest of honour Bishop Designate Archdeacon Canon Salomon Cheong.
Delivering the SAS report, SAS Principal Jane Keasberry said that next year SAS will see the introduction of full-time security guards. They will aid in ensuring safety and also ease any parking or traffic issues.
She also said it was the school’s top priority to further improve its academic facilities. Sharing her advice to the students, she said foundation for every one of them should be education.
Meanwhile President of the SAS Student Council, Rishikah Reggina, in her farewell speech advised her juniors to cherish their school life because, she said: “You won’t realise how much you’ll miss it until the times to leave St Andrew’s.”
