KUPU SB to hold fourth graduation ceremony at ICC tomorrow

A TOTAL of 219 students will be graduating from the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College (KUPU SB) in its fourth convocation ceremony tomorrow.
The convocation will be held at the Plenary Hall of the International Convention Centre, Berakas, where more than 3,000 people are expected to attend.
Speaking during a press conference at the Taqwa room of the college yesterday, Deputy Ra’es of KUPU SB, Dr Hj Adanan Hj Besar said that preparations for the ceremony are going well.
“Alhamdulillah, the committee members have worked hard to ensure everything goes smoothly for tomorrow’s ceremony which will take place at the Plenary Hall of the International Convention Centre.”
The future graduates are from KUPU SB’s eight programmes that span between one to four years.
Twenty-seven students will be graduating in Religious Teaching Post-graduate Diploma for academic session 2013/2014.
Fifteen students will be graduating under Master of Religious Education (Aqidah), Master of Religious Education (Coordinator), Master of Religious Education (Management and Administration), and Master of Religious Education (Curriculum) for academic session 2011/2013 and 2012/2014.
Meanwhile, 84 students will graduate under the Bachelor of Religious Teaching (Usuluddin) and Bachelor of Religious Teaching (Syariah) programmes for the session 2010/2014.
KUPU SB’s Religious Teaching Higher National Diploma for Usuluddin and Syariah will see its 69 students under academic session 2011/2014 graduating.
For Diploma in Teaching (Tauhid), Diploma in Teaching (Tafsir and Hadith), Diploma in Teaching (Fiqh) and Diploma in Teaching (Fiqh and Usul Fiqh), a total of 24 students will be graduating for the academic session 2012/2013.
Dr Hj Adanan expressed that he hopes that all respective graduands will attend the convocation ceremony with a spirit of humility and gratitude to Allah SWT for successfully completing their courses.
“I hope that the respective graduates will realise that being rewarded, they are entrusted to instil, spread and share their knowledge against their own welfare, their families and to members of the society.”
Members of the public that received invitations to attend the ceremony are advised to come on time and park their cars at the allocated areas.
