Young entrepreneurs invited to join upcoming CAAYE
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN
THE Young Entrepreneurs Association of Brunei (YEAB) is inviting dynamic young entrepreneurs in Brunei to participate in the third Commonwealth Asia Alliance of Young Entrepreneurs (CAAYE) Summit, on November 17 at the Orchid Garden Hotel.
As an annual event in the Commonwealth calendar, the summit is a gathering of young entrepreneurs from the nine Commonwealth Asia countries (Brunei, Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Maldives, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Singapore and invitee member nation of Nepal) for networking and business-to-business investment opportunities.
Held in conjunction with the Global Entrepreneurship Week, the 2014 CAAYE Young Entrepreneur Summit will focus around the central theme “Innovate with Purpose”. A press statement said the goal is to bring into discussion the building of a more sustainable and socially responsible entrepreneur ecosystem besides providing the platform for the entrepreneurs to explore partnership opportunities.
Fatin Arifin, Summit Chair 2014 said: “The theme this year is so important because it highlights the significance of innovation while also looking at sustainable business practices which are both critical for an enterprise to stay relevant.” The delegates will attend the plenaries and parallel concurrent sessions as well as field visits to local industries and companies in groups to meet local entrepreneurs and learn best practices. The speakers at the summit hail from diverse countries, industries and backgrounds. The summit is sponsored by the Commonwealth Secretariat, Standard Chartered and the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources. Interested participants are encouraged to register online via www.caayesummit.com by November 14.
