HM congratulates Cambodia King, PM on Independence Day

HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday sent congratulatory messages to King Norodom Sihamoni of Cambodia and Prime Minister Hun Senon the occasion of their 61st Independence Day.

In the message to King Siha-moni, the monarch said he valued the warm and close friendship with Cambodia and expressed his confidence that these ties would continue to be strengthened in the years to come.

His Majesty also extended his regards and best wishes for the Cambodian king’s continued good health and happiness, and for the prosperity of the Cambodian people.

In a message to Prime Minister Hun Sen, His Majesty said he greatly appreciated the premier’s contribution in strengthening the longstanding friendship and progress in cooperation between the countries.

His Majesty looked forward to continuing work together with the prime minister in enhancing these much-valued relations, both bilaterally and as close regional and international partners.

The monarch also extended his very best wishes to the prime minister and his family.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, also sent congratulatory messages to Hor Namhong, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. HRH said he is pleased to send his deepest respects to King Sihamoni, together with his congratulations to him, his government and people on their Independence Day.

HRH said Brunei appreciates the cooperation undertaken between both countries this year, both bilaterally and as regional partners.

He added Brunei warmly congratulates Cambodia on its successful coordination of the ASEAN-Japan dialogue.
