Repeat theft offender behind bars again

A REPEAT offender was sentenced to serve two years in jail for his involevement in stealing three cars and a motorcycle.

The court document stated that 27-year-old Jafry Mohammad Daud stole the vehicles on four separate occasions within 10 days from October 17.

Two of the cars were stolen when the respective owners left the engine running and unlocked while they went to a nearby convenience store.

The motorcycle was stolen when the defendant went to a house and carried it into his friend’s car.

The defendant also stole a wagon from a house when the owner left the engine running.

Jafry has previous conviction for theft in 2012.
