ASEM CMM which ran from October 19-21 in Rotterdam also saw 43 cultural ministers discuss trends in creative industries; targeting skills, entrepreneurship and cities as key areas to the development of the industry, which has been identified as adding value to other industries such as health, the environment and education.

The King of Netherlands His Majesty King Willem-Alexander opened the meeting, which was also attended by Deputy Permanent Secretary of MCYS Hj Noor Jusmin Hj Abd Samad, as well as other senior officials from the Ministry.
