18 couples attend first MoRA post marriage course
TUTONG
EIGHTEEN couples who have been married for at least three years completed the first post-marriage course by the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ (MoRA) Family Advice Services Division in Tutong.
During the closing ceremony the Head of Family Advice Services Division at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ustaz Hj Saharuddin Hj Patra, said that achieving a happy family and household remains a reality that many couples aim for in their lives.
In his speech, he said that the couples that attended the course are to learn and apply the knowledge that they had gained during the course.
To mark the end of the three-day course, the participants were presented with certificates to mark their participation by the Acting Director of Syariah Affairs at MoRA, Ustazah Hjh Zakiah Hj Taib.
In a statement by MoRA, the working papers that were presented during the course included influence of communication in a marriage, managing finance and assets of the family and the importance of health in a marriage.
The course is the fourth of its kind organised by the Family Advice Service Division, with the first three held in Brunei-Muara district.
There are plans to hold the course in Belait and Temburong districts before the end of the year.
The course is expected to be held in the Belait district in November.
