THE IMMIGRATION and National Registration Department has announced that the Passport Division at the main headquarter in Jln Menteri Besar and Belait branch will be open to the public every Friday until January 2, 2015, starting today.

Opening times are from 8:15am to 11:15am.

In the press statement, the department is advising the public who are planning to travel using land transportation to arrange their journey ahead of time to avoid long queues, especially during the upcoming school holiday.

The department is also reminding the public that the immigration control posts at the Sultanate’s borders such as the Kuala Lurah Immigration Control Post, Sungai Tujoh Immigration Control Post, Labu Immigration Control Post and Ujong Jalan Immigration Control Complex will be open from 6am to 10pm daily.

Travellers are also reminded to arrange passport applications in advance to avoid unnecessary miscellaneous issues and to ensure that their passports are in good condition and travel periods valid prior to travelling.
