One Brunei slot for 2015 Korean gov’t scholarship

ONE exclusive slot for the “2015 Korean Government Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Students” is now open for Bruneian students who are interested to further their studies in the land of “Winter Sonata”.

Offered by the government of the Republic of Korea, the scholarship programme is aimed at providing international students, including Bruneian students, with the opportunity to pursue their studies at higher educational institutions in South Korea. It is also aimed at promoting international exchanges and mutual friendship between Korea and Brunei.

According to the press statement, the Korean Government will fully sponsor all costs such as airfares, monthly allowances, settlement allowances, repatriation allowances, medical insurance, as well as undergraduate tuition and language training expenses.

Registration is now open for Bruneians under 25 years of age as of March 1, 2015. Applicants too must finish or be scheduled to finish their formal education of elementary, middle and high school as of March 1, 2015.

Other requirements include achieving above 80 per cent in a grade point average in all high school years attended, or within top 10 per cent among graduates in the same year.
