MOH to distribute elephantiasis extermination drugs until October

THE MINISTRY of Health (MOH) is currently performing the second phase of the mass drug administration for the National Lymphatic Filariasis (elephantiasis disease) Extermination Programme until the end of October.
In a press statement, officers from the ministry will be distributing the medical drugs at designated points and from house-to-house at several mukims in Belait, Tutong and Temburong.
For residents of Mukim Rambai, Mukim Ukong and Mukim Lamunin in Tutong, MOH officers will conduct house-to-house visits from September 15 to October 31. These visits will be conducted from 5.30pm to 9pm
Meanwhile, for residents in Mukim Labu in Temburong, the medical drugs distribution will be available at Balai Raya Kg Senukoh (Kg Senukoh Community Hall) from September 23 to October 9. Distribution will take place rom 9am to 3pm.
Finally, for Mukim Labi, Mukim Bukit Sawat, Mukim Sukang and Mukim Melilas residents, there are three ways to obtain the medical drugs from October 1 onwards: drug distributions will be available during office hours at Labi Health clinic, Sg Mau Community Hall, Bukit Sawat Primary School and Merangking Primary School. Additionally, house-to-house visits will also be conducted for residents in Merangking from 7pm to 9.30pm.
