HIS Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam yesterday received in audience the Ministers and Heads of Delegation attending the Asia Pacific ICT Ministerial Meeting.

Also in attendance were the Secretary General of the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT) and the Deputy Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

Present during the audience at Istana Nurul Iman were Minister of Communications Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Hamzah Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Hj Abdullah Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Hj Bakar and Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Communications Hj Abd Mutalib Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Hj Mohd Yusof.

In a separate event, His Royal Highness Prince Mohamed Bolkiah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade also received two ministers at Balai Penghadapan, Bukit Kayangan yesterday.

First, HRH received the Premier and Minister for External Affairs and International Relations and Aid Coordination of Niue, Toke Talagi.

HRH then received Minister of Finance of the Cook Islands Mark Brown.

Both are in the country on a two-day visit to attend the Asia-Pacific ICT Ministerial Meeting.

The meeting was themed ‘Building Smart Digital Economy through ICT’.
