FOUR Prison Department officials have left for Canada to attend the 34th Asian and Pacific Conference of Correctional Administrators (APCCA).

Acting Director Hj Ismail Hj Murat led the delegation to participate in the five-day conference that started yesterday, a press statement from the department said.

During the conference, the delegation will be presenting and discussing working papers on issues in dealing with correctional facilities management

.The participants

will also be able to share their best practices and knowledge on the improvement of correctional systems to member countries as well as new initiatives that are being undertaken.About 130 participants are expected to join the conference from 21 Asia Pacific countries.
