Policewoman injured in accident

A POLICEWOMAN was slightly injured in an accident involving a motorcycle belonging to the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and a car at Jalan Gadong yesterday.

A statement by the RBPF said that the policewoman belonging to the Traffic Control and Investigation Department, was on her patrol duty prior to the accident.

She suffered injuries on her leg and was rushed to Hospital Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) for treatment.

The case prompted the RBPF to conduct an investigation under Section 29 (1) of the Road Traffic Offences Act, Chapter 68 which stated that any person who drives a vehicle on a road without due care and attention or without reasonable consideration for other persons using the road shall be guilty of an offence.

The RBPF is seeking help from members of the public who witnessed the incident to directly contact P/ASP Nurfairuz Muhammad Nazri Salleh at 2242334 to further assist the investigation.
