KAMPUNG Belimbing residents yesterday turned up in force to beautify the village, in time for His Majesty’s 68th birthday celebrations.

Among activities carried out during the cleaning campaign were mowing the overgrown grass along the roadside, starting from the Gerai Muafakat Sarubing to Masjid Kg Belimbing.

Some residents could be seen picking up trash, while others were cleaning the drain along the side of the road.

The community work was organised by MPK Kg Belimbing in collaboration with the Brunei-Muara District Office and the Bandar Seri Begawan Municipal Board.

Present to launch the event at Gerai Muafakat Sarubing was the Acting Brunei-Muara District Officer Mohd Sunadi Hj Buntar.

Participating in the community work were Head of Kg Belimbing Yang Berhormat Hj Gapor @ Hj Daud Karim, Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office Dato Paduka Hj Mohd Roselan Hj Mohd Daud, who is also an adviser to the MPK.
