IMAMS continued to encourage Muslims to double their efforts with regards to performing worship, such as reading the Quran, in order to reap the extra rewards bestowed during the blessed month of Ramadhan.

The Quran was revealed during Ramadhan, as a source of education and reference for all Muslims as they travel the path of righteousness.

“We should read Al-Quran on a daily basis as part of our daily routine, especially during the month of Ramadhan. This is because reading Al-Quran is the most commendable act of worship and it will give us syafaat (forgiveness) in the Hereafter,” said imams during the sermon, reiterating the sabda of Prophet Muhammad SAW, as narrated by Imam Muslim, that Al-Quran will be our savior in the Hereafter.

It is also important to be able to obtain a deeper understanding of it and practice the lifestyle as stated in the Noble Book.

Imams shared that those who read Al-Quran as part of their daily routine will find happiness and peace of mind on earth and also reap rewards in the Hereafter.

Ramadhan promises multipled rewards from Allah SWT and all doa (supplications) are easily granted by Allah SWT.

Imams also shared that this year, the birthday of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam coincided with the Nuzul Al-Quran (Revelation of Al-Quran) day.

Imams added that we should be grateful to be blessed by Allah SWT with such caring monarch and a leader who prioritises Islamic teachings, especially with the recent implementation and enforcement of the Syariah Penal Code.
