Sympathies extended to MH370 passengers

MEMBERS of the Legislative Council (LegCo) have extended their sympathies to the Parliament of Malaysia on the missing Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 yesterday.

A motion was raised by the Minister of Communications, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Hamzah Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Hj Abdullah Begawan Mudim Dato Paduka Hj Bakar in the name of public interest where members of LegCo extended their prayers and thoughts to the Parliament of Malaysia and hoped that the airliner would be found immediately.

LegCo Speaker Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Laila Setia Bakti Diraja Dato Laila Utama Hj Awang Isa Pehin Datu Perdana Manteri Dato Laila Utama Hj Awang Ibrahim approved the motion and said that it did not require discussion.

Sunat hajat prayers on a national scale along with a special doa asking for guidance from Allah SWT dedicated to search efforts, was also carried out by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in response to a royal call made by His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.
